thats the club i started out with in the jnrs left when they went to vtca......... lack of numbers could be a factor when i was there very strong club............... i dont think they got the right people in charge............

back when i was a captian of the u/16 side a 1 andrew mcammond was in the side obviosly went higher to a district club have spoken to him and he will be playing there this year pretty fair signing if he does play there this year.......

just heard a rumour the big monkey from keilor with the pea heart has signed to be captain coach of airport west next season..anyone heard anything bout this???

Hey Beatle Juice! Heard a rumour your mates Ion & Rutley have been asked to go to Tasmania. If sources are correct they are on a fair package. Dont know what type of standard but 5 figures each.. Doutta will struggle with out those 2.. They would be handy up with us at South Caulfield. :cool:

If the case, very good sign up for Albion, would be on a few dollars, considering one of the leading bowlers in district and should dominate the comp, still has good pace. Funny enough it was in the local rags couple of weeks ago of how Footscray would do anything to stop him crossing over. Guess they didnt do enough.

incorrect there willi boys...he's signed at yarraville club 3 weeks ago, along with craig berger from essendon...and didn't i tell you 2 to fark off!!

FYI not a willi boy, Never the less, Good poaching if its the case, looks like u guys have got 3peat in the bag.. might as well start celerbrating now. Is Shane departing? gonna be hard to get a bowl in that line up.

Footscray ANA, got professional last season for the first time in a decade, l guess that happens when u appoint a coach and train. In the past training normally consisted of turning up and heading to the Bar for a few dozen frothies, those days are sorely missed but thats the price you pay for winning the flag, winning 20/20 comp and winning sevens comp, back to back 2007/08 here we come.....

you still padding up for yarra this season or looking for greener pastures....

More importantly..Umpire of the year! Its gotta be the big porno star himself Lyndsy Howarth, the most consistant umpire i've ever seen, when you were out you were not out and when you were not out you were out..he's definately the new age umpire setting the standard for the years to come!! He will be proudly presented the award by his VTCA exec brother Peter..keep it in the family!!

team of the year, Bakes..Contessa..A Russell..Rutley..the rest can sort them selves out!

Don't think any subbies side would beat Yarraville club, with their current pick ups. Though would be a interesting game to watch...

Is the Subbies 1XI a better and higher grade higher than VTCA senior division? What does everybody else think? Subbies clubs are are luckly they get the money from the Cricket Victoria, so I dont know where they will be at

I was told around 4 years ago (by someone moving to VTCA from Subbies) at that stage VTCA was safely ahead of Subbies.

I assume it would be the same now as most VTCA clubs get players straight out of District 1s and 2s these days a lot.

the thing that keeps the subbies very even is that clubs are only allowed to pay the coach and 1 professional player......... and thats why the vtca get alot of the 1st and 2nd 11 district players chasing coin which i dont think is a bad thing but its not very even for the clubs who dont have the coin to pay players................dont get me wrong there a prob a few clubs that get away with paying coin to other players in the subbies its a hard thing to police.............

thats why keilor and the yarravlle clubs play off in premierships two years in a row cause the others cant compete.......

Another question posed, how would VTCA senior side & Subbies first side go against a District 2nds side?

vtca would beat district 2ndxi teams because the teams are well bonded and more of a team (dont play for them selves just cash) so the would beat footscray 2s and north melb 2s hands down
