Moorabbin have appointed a new coach. Non playing. Ex Sri Lankan test player. Also, Matjlis from Mount as Capt and Development coach, so would assume his brother will join him, along with a couple of other Mount 1st XI players. Wouldn't have thought Mount could afford to lose them.

Have heard that Bentleigh have spoken to Brad Hodge about joining the club next year. Not sure in what capacity, weather CC or just to play. Could be a good recruit!!

If subbies lose 2,3 or 4 teams over the next couple of years, where will they get replacement teams from if CV grand plans come to fruition? Will make it harder for subbies to stand alone if the other comps commit to CV.

Congratulations to Malvern and Noble Park on their respective victories. Both of these teams were losers in the 1st round of finals. Thoughts on the lucky losers progressing? Personally, I'm not a fan. Would prefer 1 and 2 have the 1st week off and 3 play 6 and 2 play 5, if we are to have a final 6.

Good news about Whatham. Being a bit harsh on McDonald 400 @ 36 and Manser 32 @ 13.5 I reckon. High expectations. Look forward to seeing who will be replacing them.
