Well I think it's very disappointing to lose another 2 south clubs to another comp. I have always enjoyed playing against Parkdale and even pop in for a look and chat when not playing. I'm sure Jimmy, Doggy and co have done their homework on it all and I wish you luck in the DDCA. I'm sure most...
I think Rat has a good point in regards to where our clubs money goes. Unless its all on cheese and biscuits on meeting nights! Rat you should focus on tomorrow's game although I've never known anyone to win a game from their front room on a Friday night.
What sort of compensation would a club seek for a player who has volunteered to play Rockshow?money? Player exchange? A few league points? A good idea whoever has put this game into reality and let's hope the weather stays good.
DH I had my first ball in the garden last night, nearly took my 4 year olds head off 10 feet and when she snicked one behind I sent her. The back spasms serve you right for training so early. Good positive chat on here gent. I will be sure to pop in to PCC at some point this year to share a...
Right i think we need to call Mr. Ray and get him to have a press conference to settle. I'm sure he's happy about you 2 calling him every 2 minutes haha. I think i pretty much know who most of the posters on here are but who cares. As long as people post interesting things and don't get personal...
A forum is generally a place where people post what they have heard or think they have. Considering nobody likes to tell everyone what is true then why not make things up/voice what they have heard. From your response sledge you have obvious knowledge of this story so i'm tipping whoever is...
I have also noticed the increase in overseas players over the last few years to the comp. I think it's a clear indication that clubs are probably struggling to fill X1's and as has previously been spoken about on here younger players not showing as much intesrest in the game. I think most of the...
Ondrive i'm not sure which club you are involved with but i presume as you are very active in the conversation of the grounds that it is a current or at least was last year South Division club. I managed to see or have seen most of the grounds in the division and bar probably Murrenbena all have...
Hamptons main oval finished (unless the football rips it up) and by all accounts will be one of the best surfaces in the area, although tipping will take a season or 2 for the wicket to be good. Didn't think the 3rds and 4th ground was all that bad, outfield a bit dodgy but the wicket played...
Saw a bit of the Port v Parkdale match, Khawaja looked impressive but the outfield was pretty quick so from the position they were in I'd say Port would be disapointed with 260 and Parkdale still have a sniff.
Sadly my only excuses will be how to get out of the house as I'm not playing! But considering Brightons position in the game and the fact Chelsea have good covers may worry you! in saying that out of all the teams in finals I would like to see Parkdale do well, I have some good friends down there.
Any truth in what I heard that Chapple was mouthing it off last weekend with one of the supporters while he was batting and carried it on during a drinks break?
Not saying anything dodgy going on but is it a coincidence that the parkdale pitch being dug up has anything to do with Hamptons ground being turfed this week!!!! Couple of roles short maybe????
If Chelseas thought process is similar to years gone by then finishing 5th would suit them. Means they have had a decent year and don't have to play senior division if they won the grand final. I'd imagine they'd get less then 7 in the 2s travelling to Airport west.
Options for games called off due to rain could be; firing jug balls from a bowling machine most catches wins, stump cricket in the rooms or any other suggestions ? Maybe the vtca bring it in next year!!!
Beena to beat Mentone....Lamb big runs to be a difference.
Old Mentonians to beat Chelt....don't know much about either but just a feeling.
Hampton to beat rivals Brighton.... Hampton always play better when underdogs and a bit of a derby.
Port to beat Chelsea in a close one.....either a few...
