Well done Eddie - the MCG has produced another lifeless road, what a shizen house pitch and stadium the MCG is.

If the 'G is a shizen stadium then there is no such thing as a good stadium.

Get out, the pitch is crap, the ground is a concrete jungle - playing there with out a crowd is crap.

Even when full the crowd is violent and loutish.

Who can forget the NZ game in 2001/02, after such the ICC nearly banned the MCG from holding ODI games.

But back to the game, Queensland would be happy with the days play, it gives them a shot, and that is all it is at the moment, at winning outright.

Anyone can play well when they have the draw to fall back on to secure the shield, lets see how the vics go when it is all or nothing.

Love Maher's commentary on foxsports as well.

Re: Sheffield Shield Thread 2009/2010

So eddy you would prefer to be without the 96 runs? A cockroach is a cockroach but he still made runs unlike the rest of the useless vics top order. You would prefer to be all out for 190ish?

Re: Sheffield Shield Thread 2009/2010

Obviously you vics are pretty simple then.

Hartley is going to smash your pop gun attack to every corner of that shithole known as the MCG.

No, but obviously without Wade we would still have a keeper there who may not have thrown it all away

He is a good young player, but he has a very long history in a short period of throwing his wicket away, although unlike Haddin he usually makes some runs first

Lucky for all people with an interest in the Shield final that this game is at the sensational MCG, it looks like the GABBA will be underwater yet again by the weekend

Re: Sheffield Shield Thread 2009/2010

Nothing wrong with the mcg itself
except when less than 5% of seats are full it doesn't look good
apart from that the only problem is the pitch which was expected.

No chance.

Queensland won't be leading after 1st Innings.

They also won't win the match.

I will change my signature for a month to : "James Hopes is by far the best all-rounder Australia has seen since Keith Miller""

What are you prepared to put up LtD or Bore-is if the Vics win?

C'Mon Eddie, join in the fun here! Vics are home.

You could say the same about almost every large stadium. As a supporter of North Melbourne Football Club, I've seen some pretty bad attendances over the years, and it looked crap whether it was at the 'G, Docklands, the Olympic Stadium or Footy Park.

I think you will find the pitch is fine. Its got bounce, a bit of pace and something there for the bowlers.

Qld lost the killer instinct? 6-75 to all out for 300.

Can we please have the McDonald vs Hopes argument now? :D
Sounds like a good idea to me :D

Hopes c Hussey b McDonald

Hopes just showed why he wont play test cricket

Re: Sheffield Shield Thread 2009/2010

4/105, Chris Lynn made a nice 40 before he was adjudged LBW to McDonald and Hopes swished at a wide-ish ball also from McDonald to give him his second wicket.

Ryan Broad is still there for Queensland on 30 from 101 balls, Chris Hartley is yet to score from 18 balls faced. Damian Wright bowled a beautiful spell of swing bowling early in the innings but could only grab the wicket of Lee Carseldine. Wright probably deserved another two or three wickets to his name.

Victoria on top at the moment.

Poor decision to give Lynn LBW, that was missing leg by another stump.

Bulls will fight back.

Harts to get a ton.

What is your sig going to be when the Bushrangers win?
I like this one: "Victoria - the greatest state in the country"
or
"Andy MacDonald > James Hopes"

He will provide us with something even better, we wont see him again for about 6 months :D

Was a good decision by the only neutral umpire out there, the QLDer wont give anything
